Couples looking for a headache
After switching rooms, the second one we got was much better. Kevin at the front desk was really nice and helpful, even though the first room felt more like a horror movie set with a plunger in the tub and a phone that didn’t even work.
Not cheap, but still acceptable for what we experienced.

Florence has some tasty locals! I hit up Cracker Barrel for a plate of biscuits and gravy that had me swooning. Plus, the clean rooms were a solid win, and the staff dished out friendly vibes. 🙌
The renovation scene was a hot mess! Garbage everywhere and the hallways looked like a dumping ground, which didn't scream 'welcoming' to me. We even had to switch rooms due to our first door being wide open. Yikes! 😬

central spot for city adventures and park strolls
My stay was enjoyable because I loved the easy access to the War Between the States Museum, just under 4 km away, and the charming walking paths around the Florence County Museum, about 4.5 km from the hotel, making my weekend of exploring fun and convenient. I also appreciated the friendly staff who were always ready to help, but the renovation work was a bit disruptive during my visit.

There were some positive aspects, like the decent mattress and the friendly staff, but the overwhelming cigarette smell, moldy areas, and general disrepair were hard to overlook. The lack of housekeeping and amenities made it a less than pleasant experience overall.
